Washingtonian Overshoots WaPo Salaries

Washingtonian should have trashed at least one section of its media salary estimates. They claim the starting salary for WaPo reporters is $70,000.  But the guild agreements are posted online and WaPo insiders say this amount sounds awfully high.

Starting salary for reporters? Roughly $44,000.  Not even close, Washingtonian. But on the upside, young reporters will likely appreciate that people will think they’re way richer than they are.
