Tony Snow Dies of Colon Cancer

Former White House press secretary Tony Snow succumbed to a three-year battle with colon cancer early this morning. Snow, 53, left his job in the government about a year ago, citing financial, not health reasons. He was most recently a contributor to CNN and was also a former host of Fox News Sunday.

President George Bush released the following statement about Snow:

“Laura and I are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend, Tony Snow.
