The Hill Names Nicholas Hahn Chief Opinion Editor

He comes over from The Detroit News.

The Hill has tapped Detroit News’ Nicholas Hahn as its chief opinion editor, responsible for overseeing and growing the publication’s opinion section.

“Nick is a thoughtful and dedicated editor who understands not only the issues being debated within the Beltway but also those that are most meaningful to the lives of American voters,” said James Finkelstein, chairman of Hill publisher Capitol Hill Publishing Corp, in a statement.

Hahn has been the assistant editorial page editor, opinion, at The Detroit News. Prior to joining The Detroit News, he had been at RealClearPolitics, where he was editor of its religion section, and had been a staffer in former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld‘s Washington office.

He starts Jan. 9.
