Telemundo Unleashes Bilingual Telenovela App

Via Cynthia Turner’s Cynopsis comes news that the Spanish language TV network has a new app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch with English navigation and subtitled weekly show recaps. However, archived show episodes are available in Spanish only:

This builds on the network’s other digital efforts, including the launch earlier this year of a strategic social media unit to help grow the number of Facebook and Twitter fans and enhance engagement on those platforms with the network’s shows.

In case you hadn’t noticed, while the big four American networks try to figure out how to get viewers to tune in en masse to shows that do not involve dancing stars and singing unknowns, NBC Universal’s Telemundo audience for conventional programming is growing across the board.
