Survey Shocker: WikiLeaks Is Controversial

How’s that for intuitive results? WikiLeaks’ publication of hordes of secret U.S. military documents related to the Afghan war has people effectively split over whether the whistleblowing site has helped or harmed the nation, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.

The study, which relied on responses from 1,003 adults, found that 42% of people who had heard or read about WikiLeaks thought the leak of the Afghan war logs served the public interest, while 47% found it harmful.
