AOL is losing its svp of business development and chief of strategy, Jared Grusd, to music streaming company Spotify, AllThingsD reported this morning.

Grusd, who serves on AOL's Executive Management Team, oversees international and domestic partnerships and commercial alliances for AOL and its operating units, according his company bio, and is also in charge of “identifying and evaluating new corporate strategies and opportunities.” Prior to joining AOL, Grusd was a senior exec heading Google's New York legal team.

According to AllThingsD, it’s not certain exactly what Grusd will be doing at Spotify, but sources said that he would hold a high-level position in its New York office. He’ll be joining fellow AOL alum, former head of sales Jeff Levick, who was also hired by Spotify last month as chief advertising officer.
