We received an email from a tipster today asking us “what’s going on” with layoffs at Meredith, adding that several people at the company were given severance packages. We were able to get in touch with Patrick Taylor at Meredith, who helpfully addressed the rumor for us.
So here’s what’s going on: The company announced today that there would be a “small reduction in force,” mostly affecting operations in Des Moines, as part of the company’s realignment of digital resources.
