Shocked Photog To File Lawsuit

After initiating discussions with Hachette’s Shock magazine over a photograph allegedly used without permission on its cover, Michael Yon is preparing to file a copyright infringement lawsuit against the magazine, Yon’s lawyer, John D. Mason, tells FishbowlNY.

As FishbowlNY previously reported, Mason and his client have also demanded that the current issue Shock be removed from circulation. “Nothing’s been done to my knowledge,” says Mason.

But Mason says he is in the process contacting individual retailers to alert them of the alleged infringement.
