A ha! We knew there was something sneaky about that Philippe de Montebello. After announcing that he was leaving the Met, we could believe that he was planning to take up teaching at NYU, but we didn’t think for a second that he didn’t have more tricks up his soon-to-be-“retired” sleeves. So it is, as you may have caught de Montebello on your TV screens yesterday when he began his co-hosting duties on WNET‘s SundayArts program (also with Paula Zahn no less).
