Remembering a Primary Season That Is a Long Way From Over

It’s been a long road to the 2016 presidential elections, but now that they’re over before a single Iowan has raised a hand or huddled by their favorite candidate, we should take stock of the pre-primary portion of the primary season that will soon fade into a memory of a fever dream, or, more likely, grow into an even bigger fever dream when real votes will cause things to get real come February.

Over at The New York Times, Patrick Healy has done the recollecting work for us, capturing–literally, thanks to the accompanying photojournalistic imagery–all the key players, narratives and ideas the presidential race has engendered, up to this point.
