Radar’s New Media Critic

Kudos to Radar for snagging Charles Kaiser as their new media critic. The journalism vet (New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Newsweek) kicked off his first week with:

  • A confession from the TimesAndrew Rosenthal that father Abe Rosenthal was a Communist Party member and being managing editor of the NYT made his father “crazy.”

  • The news that Henny Sender jumped ship from the WSJ to Financial Times and that “Sender told FCP that all of her sources urged her to jump to the FT.”

  • Not-so-veiled shots at Andrew Sullivan and Howard Kurtz.

Despite Kaiser’s impressive resume, Radar were the ones who first got him blogging. To this, we have to say: Not too shabby at all.
