Playboy Posts Net Loss Of $27.4 Million Including $25M In One-Time Writeoffs

Poor Hef. Playboy Enterprises (PLA) posted a loss for the third quarter of $27.4 million , or 81 cents a share, down from $1.1 million a year ago. A one-time writeoff of $25 million added to the loss, but even without the writedown the company’s quarterly loss has more than doubled.

That’s on revenue of $52.1 million, a 7 percent drop from last year’s $56 million.
