Folks –

I’m pleased to announce some changes to our CQ BillTrack team led by Editor Megan Sowder-Staley.

Dan Peake is officially joining the team as one of our deputy editors. A GalleryWatch veteran, Dan has tracked countless bills, logged thousands of hours watching C-SPAN and can dissect House floor rules in his sleep. He quickly impressed the newsroom with his detailed observations via Twitter during the weekend House health care vote, and he continues to be a go-to guy for all things legislative. Besides all that, he is a thoughtful colleague and is often the one gathering up signatures for someone’s birthday card.

Joining BillTrack is Stacey Skotzko, who takes Ben Weyl’s slot now that he has moved over to the Legislative Action team. Stacey joined CQ Top Docs in September 2008 and quickly made a name for herself as a tireless worker who would always go the extra mile to make sure a job was done right. Throughout the many transitions for the Documents team it was a no-brainer for us to rely on Stacey more and more — and all the while she stayed in good spirits. Lately she has written up some Vantage Points for the Weekly and tackled the monumental task of covering for Yee Ling Woo when Yee Ling has been out of the office.

Dan and Stacey join Megan, Deputy Editor Neda Semnani and Melissa Attias at BillTrack.

Please congratulate Dan and Stacey on their new assignments.
