Yesterday, while leafing through a copy of the new, eight hundred pound issue of Vogue, we noticed, around page 6,921, that there was a whole, multi-page spread for Payless Shoes. This, we thought was odd. Sure, there are always those badly photographed, chintzy one or two pages purchased by the lower-end retailers, but this was in the front of the magazine and actually looked fairly decent.
