Former Washington Post tech and business blogger, Mohana Ravindranath, has been named staff correspondent for Nextgov, according to a press release this morning.

Mohana, who covered small businesses, startup financing, employment and information technology for the Post, will join the Atlantic Media news outlet to cover civilian agency technology and IT policy, focusing on the intersection between Capitol Hill and technology.

“Mohana is an exceptional journalist who has an already established presence in the tech community,” said Nextgov’s Camille Tuutti, who was named executive editor back in May. “We’re thrilled to have her join Nextgov and believe her experience in covering IT, small business and contracting make her a great fit for our growing team.”

Before her stint at the Post, Mohana wrote for The Philadelphia Enquirer and Business Insider — covering small business issues, startups and entrepreneurship, and city news.
