NBC Debuts Early Nightly Vlog As CBS Readies Theirs
Yesterday, NBC debuted the Early Nightly, a daily video blog hosted by Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, a day after CBS announced it would offer a “web-exclusive rundown on-camera from the newsroom” starting September 5.
The timing is odd if coincidental, according to the Bible of TVNewser:
NBCers have been talking about and testing the Early Nightly for about two months. If anything, CBS is copying NBC, not the other way around — Couric is starting a blog next September, 15 months after Williams.
