More Bureau Closings...
The D.C. bureau covering the Montana and Wyoming congressional delegations and Western issues for the Independent Record, The Billings Gazette, Missoulian, Montana Standard, Ravalli Republic and Casper Star Tribune has closed. It was opened in December 2002.
“To adjust to rising expenses our newspapers are facing, we’ve decided to move coverage of the congressional delegation back to our newsrooms and our three-reporter state bureau in Helena,” said Gazette Editor Steve Prosinski.
