A quick look at the numbers that are driving the conversation this week:

44 – Number of Representatives (so far) not running for re-election this year.

10 – Number of Senators (so far) not running for re-election this year.

59 – Number of years Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) will have served in the House after he retires this year -the longest Congressional tenure in American history.

$100 million – Amount billionaire Tom Steyer plans to spend on contributions to pro-environmentalist congressional campaigns this cycle

$400 million – Amount raised by the Koch brothers leading up to the 2012 elections.
