That’s the number of hours per day the average employee worries about personal job concerns such as layoffs, according to Lynn Taylor Consulting.

On the slightly less depressing side, 52 percent of 300+ executives surveyed are expecting voluntary turnover to increase when the recession ends, meaning that if you’ve just been slogging away and doing good work, you may be offered a “please don’t go” incentive when times get better.
