Make-A-Wish Barbie Event Last Night

FBLA is a media partner Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. We will be bringing you stories all season long about the children the organization assists.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles, with the help of Mattel, Inc., celebrated six-year-old Mariah Brown’s wish for the ultimate Barbie experience as part of its 2010 Season of Wishes® campaign.  Last night’s celebration at The Grove in Los Angeles – hosted by long time Make-A-Wish Foundation supporters Mark Wallengren (KOST-FM 103.5) and Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) — began with a surprise appearance by the 2010 Holiday Barbie herself who presented Mariah with a special Barbie necklace and a massive gift box filled Barbie dolls and accessories, which they opened together.  As part of her granted wish, Mattel, Inc. has arranged for Mariah and her family to visit the Mattel design studio for an exclusive exploration into the world of all things Barbie.

Mariah’s wish is one of the hundreds of wishes granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions throughout November and December as part of Season of Wishes.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles strives to bring holiday cheer to the Los Angeles community by granting wishes one child at a time.  Please visit for more information about the 2010 campaign.
