Let Your Career Bloom as Garden Design‘s New Deputy Editor

gardendesign092410.jpgIn July, we posted about an editor-in-chief opening at Garden Design magazine, and now the book is looking for a talented deputy editor to join its New York team. If you have a passion for gardening, lifestyle and design, this could be the perfect gig for you.

If hired, you’ll conceive, develop, assign and edit front-of-book and back-of-book features stories for seven issues. There’s also plenty of opportunity to write, as you’ll be expected to contribute articles on a wide variety of topics. You should be able to handle a lot on your plate and be willing to work long hours during closings. But that’s nothing you haven’t dealt with before, right?

To be considered, you’ll need significant editorial experience at consumer publications; a strong background in writing; and proven copy- and line-editing skills. Of course, you should have a sincere interest in gardening culture. Interested? Apply here.
