Jim Brady Named Editor-in-Chief At Journal Register Company

Jim Brady, who joined the Journal Register Company to lead “Project Thunderdome” and transforming JRC’s papers into digital-first properties, has been named editor-in-chief of the entire company, a new position.

He will now directly oversee all newsgathering operations.

The company announced the news by press release earlier today. Brady tweeted: “Thrilled to be the new editor-in-chief at #JRC. Great company, great opportunity. Can’t wait to get started. #digitalfirst”

Brady, of course, had been the founder and GM of TBD.com but left after three months due to disagreements with management; he was executive editor of Washingtonpost.com before that.
