If You Haven't Fired Anyone Yet, You Probably Won't

Only 5% of those who haven’t cut any positions since the recession started say they expect to start laying off people over the next year, according to consulting firm Watson Wyatt.

Thirteen percent of the employers surveyed for this study say their organization has already bottomed out and another 12 percent say they’re at the bottom right now.

Interestingly, 41% of employers who have conducted layoffs in the last 12 months expect another round of layoffs in the coming year.
