He was named one of Countdown’s “Worst Persons in the World.” Politico’s Michael Calderone got on Keith Olbermann’s radar for “falsely reporting” that it was Olbermann who uttered “oh God” on MSNBC Tuesday night as Gov. Bobby Jindal came to the mic for the Republican response, when it was in fact Chris Matthews.

Calderone was quick to respond on his blog last evening, outlining his reporting and saying Olbermann was incorrect to say that I “pretended” to get it right the entire time, but he also did apologize for “initially pointing the finger at him without having it confirmed. Even though I updated the original item within few minutes to say it was unclear, it’s never alright in journalism to assume.”
