Halle Berry the First Black Woman on Over 20 Years to Grace Vogue's September Cover

The September issue is the biggest of the year. So big they made a documentary about it. And this year’s issue is also historic. It’s the first time a black celebrity has been on the cover of a September Vogue, and only the second time a black woman has landed in the hallowed spot. The first was Naomi Campbell back in 1989. Since then, the September issue has featured white cover models exclusively.

The press-shy Halle Berry, who hasn’t done an interview in three years, is well aware of the significance.
