Former WABC-TV Sports Anchor Marvell Scott Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charge; No Jail Time
Former WABC/Channel 7 sports anchor Marvell Scott pleaded guilty yesterday to child endangerment, a misdemeanor. He’ll avoid jail time with 20 days of community service as part of the plea deal.
Scott admitted that he inappropriately touched a 14-year-old runaway during a July 2008 incident in his Times Square apartment.
Scott, who left Channel 7 in 2008 to concentrate on his sports medicine practice, was facing rape changes if convicted at trial.
