Dropping the "Social" in Social Media

When social media exploded onto the scene, people wondered where the format would go and how news organizations would adapt to them. A couple years in now, and the same questions are still being asked, but Wenda Harris Millard, president of the MediaLink says it’s real simple to see how social media will grow.

Eventually we’ll just stop putting “social” in front of “media.” It will be media, the same way that we dropped “new media.”
