CNN’s Hornick to HLN, Hotlanta

CNN political writer Ed Hornick is leaving Washington and politics behind for a new gig at CNN sister network HLN.  Hornick, a card-carrying member of the Golden Girls fan club, is moving to Hotlanta to help run HLN’s soon-to-launch website: “a mix of pop culture, trials, politics, entertainment and OMG kind of stuff,” he says.

In a farewell note to his DC colleagues, Hornick said “To quote the most amazing woman I know — Betty ‘Rose Nylund’ White — in the last Golden Girls episode: ‘What can you say about seven years of fights and laughter, secrets, cheesecake…’  For me it was 4 years here at the bureau.  My answer?  It was amazing.  I will miss all of you.”

Hornick has been with CNN since January of 2008. Prior to that, he worked for New York Newsday, NJ‘s “The Hotline,” and as a press intern for then-Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.).  Congrats to Ed and ‘thank you for being a friend!’
