City Paper Walks Away With Three AltWeekly Awards
The winners of the 2006 AltWeekly Awards were announced Friday in Little Rock, Arkansas and the Washington City Paper received a spot at every level of the podium among publications with circulation of more than 50,000.
A first place in music criticism went to Sarah Godfrey for “Keeping Up with the Joneses,” “Incorrect Change,” and “Principle Playa.”
A second place nod for a feature story went to Jason Cherkis for “Death of a Salesman”
Third place in Arts Criticism went to Jeffry Cudlin for “Objects of Scorn,” “Memory Pictures,” “Poise II Men.”
