Charles Duhigg to Lead NY Times Events Business

The Times is taking live events and conferences seriously.

The New York Times has named Pulitzer Prize winner Charles Duhigg senior editor of the Times events business.

Duhigg has been with the Time since 2006. Prior to joining the Times, he was a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times.

“Charles will work with colleagues throughout the company to expand the conferences The Times already runs, like Cities for Tomorrow, the Luxury Conference, the magazine’s events, DealBook, Schools for Tomorrow, Food forTomorrow and the INYT conferences, and he will provide support to TimesTalks and our other successful live journalism events,” read a memo from executive editor Dean Baquet and editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal.
