Campbell Brown’s New Education Site to Host Presidential Forums

Democratic and Republican candidates will meet to talk education.

The Seventy Four, a new site focused on covering education reform co-founded by former CNN and NBC News anchor Campbell Brown, will be co-hosting a pair of presidential forums on education, the site announced today.

The forums, one each for Republican and Democratic candidates, will take place in the early primary states. The first, the New Hampshire Education Summit, is being co-sponsored by the American Federation for Children and will be held on Aug. 19 in New Hampshire. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich and Scott Walker are currently the confirmed participants.

The second forum, the 2015 Iowa Education Summit, is intended for Democratic participants and will take place in October in Iowa. It is being co-sponsored by the Des Moines Register.

Brown recently spoke to sister site TVNewser about her motivation for creating The Seventy Four, which included “holding [special interests] accountable.”
