Austin Powers Actor Convicted of Torturing Rape Victim
Joseph Hyungmin Son, who played Random Task in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, will likely not be acting again anytime soon, after being convicted of torturing an Orange County woman. The LA Times reports Son was initially charged with multiple counts of sexual assault stemming from a 1990 Christmas Eve rape. But those charges had to be dropped due to an expired statute of limitations.
Son’s torture conviction stems from the same incident, which occurred a full seven years before the first Austin Powers came out.
