All In The Family: Carolyn Greenspon Named NYT Board Director
Fifth-generation Ochs-Sulzberger Carolyn Greenspon has been elected director of the New York Times Company, having garnered shareholders’ approval at the company’s annual meeting earlier this week. Greenspon succeeds Daniel H. Cohen, a first cousin of company chairman Andrew Sulzberger, Jr.
Greenspon, a psychotherapist based in Massachusetts, also, of course, has family ties to the company: she is the great-great-granddaughter of Adolph S. Ochs, who bought the Times in 1896.
So. That’s very lovely for her. We only stand to inherit a nice scarf and a handful of beans.
