A Warning: One Successful Freelancer's Journey

Ever think of becoming a freelancer? It sounds great. You work when you want, write what you want, jaunt to foreign countries because an editor wants a story on the life-night in the United Arab Emirates (or wherever) and you get to stay outside of the corporate doldrums.

But that’s not what it’s really like. According to Richard Morgan, it’s more like you’re a prostitute and the editors will use you, and throw you away.

What’s worst is that, in order to be a freelancer for very long, you have to think of yourself in certain ways.
