Walmart Brings The Muppets and Walton Goggins Together For Its Own Holiday Carol

Campaign reimagines The Muppet Christmas Carol, with Goggins playing Scrooge

The Muppets are singing a new Christmas carol for Walmart’s holiday campaign.

The retailer teamed up with Disney and The Muppets Studio for “A Who Knew Carol,” which reimagines the classic 1992 movie The Muppet Christmas Carol. Debuting today (Oct. 26), the campaign is the latest chapter of Walmart’s “Who Knew?” platform, starring brand spokesperson Walton Goggins as Ebenezer Scrooge, alongside a Muppets ensemble.

In this version of the story, however, Scrooge (Goggins) is visited by three new ghosts: The Ghost of Christmas Presents, The Ghost of Deals to Come, and The Ghost of Christmas Fast. Each specter represents a different facet of Walmart’s holiday offering, from its product line-up to express delivery.
