Walmart will make vaccination records available digitally for customers who receive the Covid-19 vaccine at one of its 5,400 pharmacies.
The effort is intended to make it easier for consumers to confirm their vaccination status moving forward.
The retail giant announced the effort last week as part of a partnership with secure ID platform Clear and The Commons Project (TCP), a nonprofit that says it builds digital platforms and services for the common good.
“These platforms are free to users who choose to use them in order to verify their vaccine status to safely return to travel, work, school, sports events, entertainment and other venues while protecting their health data privacy,” according to a statement.
