NEW YORK — Young & Rubicam has reignited a search for a worldwide creative director — a position that has been vacant since Ted Bell left the agency in 2000.

Worldwide CEO Mike Dolan is said to be talking with prospective candidates. Sources said parent company WPP Group also may assist in the search, as it tends to do with hires of this level.

WPP referred questions to Y&R, which confirmed that it was once again actively searching for a global cd, but declined further comment.
