Yesawich ‘Spins to Win’ Casino

Yesawich, Pepper-dine & Brown (YP&B) in Orlando, Fla., has added another notch in its leisure industry belt with the acquisition of the Baton Rouge, La.-based Casino Rouge account.
Sources estimated the budget to be in excess of $1 million.
Casino Rouge is a Carnival Hotels & Casinos Inc. property, a travel conglomerate that has worked with YP&B in the past. The agency has a large number of travel and tourism accounts on its client list.
The Orlando shop nabbed the account after a formal review process with an undisclosed roster of contenders.
The incumbent is DRGM in Las Vegas.
“I chose YP&B because I’ve known [agency president and chief executive officer Peter] Yesawich for quite a long time,” said Casino Rouge general manager Dale Darrough, who was in charge of the review. “I took some of his courses on marketing and advertising at Cornell University and found him to be a knowledgeable man with great ideas and energy. We need to develop our identity and I’m very excited to be associated with the agency.”
Casino Rouge is a 260-foot, turn-of-the-century-style paddle wheeler with 30,000 square feet of gaming, restaurants and entertainment facilities. The boat cruises the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge eight times a day.
YP&B also represents, among other like clients, Temptress Adventures, a cruise line out of Central America, and Phoenix-based Doubletree Hotels. The agency has offices in New York, Phoenix and St. Petersburg, Fla., in addition to its headquarters in Orlando.
“We’re thrilled to be working on this exciting project, which represents a major extension of our long-term relationship with Carnival Hotels & Casinos,” Yesawich said. “Like Carnival, we are extremely bullish on the future of recreational gaming in the U.S.”
YP&B’s first promotional campaign will break in September with a “Spin to Win” themeline.
