TFA/Leo Burnett Adds Staff to Improve Creative

Tech Shop Hires Associate CD Madden, 5 Additional Staffers
BOSTON–TFA/Leo Burnett Technology Group has taken steps to improve its creative product with the addition of Holly Madden as associate creative director.
Madden, who formerly held the same position at small Boston shop Orsatti & Partners, will oversee creative teams on accounts including Allaire, Information Builders and Employease.
“We’re always trying to improve our creative product, and hiring people with experience like [Holly’s] will help in terms of delivering a better creative product,” said agency president Jeff Winsper.
Madden is one of two associate creative directors within TFA’s Boston office, the other being Diane Boulanger. They report to Mike Wilson, creative director for TFA in Boston. The agency, a technology marketing specialist, is based in Chicago.
While at Orsatti & Partners, Madden worked on accounts including, and Ka-Bloom. Her experience also in-cludes stints at Arnold Communications, Bronner Slosberg Hum-phrey (now Digitas) and Ingalls (now Holland Mark Edmund Ingalls).
Madden said she was attracted to TFA because of the opportunity to help the agency “bring the creative up a notch.”
TFA also hired Michael Mizak as an art director; copywriters Jason Sweet, Christopher Lee and Andy Gould; and Melanie Solka, a senior planner. Mizak and Gould worked at Biggs-Gilmore, Kalamazoo, Mich., on accounts such as Sea Ray Boats and Monroe Bank. Sweet was previously with Boston boutique Chili Pepper, while Lee has had agency experience from Stringer, Furtado & Shaw and EMI, and client-side experience from Cambridge SoundWorks. Solka was previously a marketing director at in Los Altos, Calif.
“In general, we want people with a breadth of knowledge–both b-to-b and b-to-c–to apply the best practices a person would have working on consumer accounts,” said Winsper. K
