Ten Shops Return Nextel RFP

NEW YORK Ten agencies have submitted an RFP in Nextel Communications’ $150 million review and the Reston, Va. client is expected to cut to six shops next week, said sources.

Shops returning the RFP on Wednesday included Omnicom Group’s DDB, WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, Interpublic Group’s Deutsch and Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day, all in New York, Havas’ Arnold in Boston, and Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett in Chicago and Fallon in Minneapolis, Minn., said sources.
