Teachers Group Places Eisner At Head of Class

The National Education Association has chosen Eisner Communications as its ad agency.
The $3-5 million account has not been in a formal agency setting for “more years than I can tell you,” said NEA communications director Kate Mattos. “We’ve used people on a project basis, [but are re-]organizing our communications . . . [Eisner] understands our challenges [and can] provide us with well thought out marketing and creative solutions as we enter the 21st century.”
The review was conducted by AAR/Bob Wolf Partners in New York. Mattos said the search was limited to agencies within an hour of NEA’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. Eisner is located in Baltimore.
Mattos said an initial list of 15 shops was reduced to three finalists.
