Talent Zoo Talks to VIPs Online

ATLANTA Talent Zoo launched the first of a weekly series of podcasts today on its Web site, the company said.

Sally Hogshead, who was the creative director and managing director of the former Los Angeles office of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, hosts the podcasts. Her first show features an interview with Lance Jensen, founder of Modernista! and former creative director at Arnold, both in Boston.

Hogshead calls her program The Naked Career and spends 15 minutes each week interviewing influential advertising executives. Next week, she will interview Luke Sullivan, group creative director for GDS&M in Austin, Texas. Other scheduled guests include Avi Dan, managing partner of Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York, and Brad Brinegar, CEO of McKinney + Silver in Durham, N.C.

The podcasts are engineered by Eric Bickel of Nashville, Tenn., and produced by Dick Orkin and his staff at Radio Ranch in Los Angeles.

“We wanted to give our audience the chance to examine the lives of some of the most prominent leaders in the communications industry,” said Rick Myers, founder and CEO of Talent Zoo. “In fact, we are planning to go beyond the communications industry and pursue guests who have learned to brand themselves according to the times.”

The Atlanta-based ad personnel recruiting and job placement company is negotiating with the owners of two existing podcasts to include their shows on the Web site. Myers declined to identify those programs pending final agreements.

Each podcast can be heard by connecting to Radio Talent Zoo through the company’s Web site, or listeners can subscribe to the show to get it forwarded to them automatically.
