Spalding Continues High End Assault

NEW YORK – Spalding’s Professional Golf Club division is continuing its assault on the high-end golf club market with the introduction of Top-Flite Tour Irons later this year. Ads announcing the new product break this week in Golf Week and Golf World. ‘We’re zeroing in on a certain segment,’ said John Krzynowek, marketing director of Spalding’s golf division. ‘We haven’t introduced a premium-priced Top-Flite club since the early ’80s.’ The company will spend upwards of $4 million supporting the launch.
