Snickers Sponsors’s Fitness Forecast

NEW YORK Masterfoods has signed on for its Snicker’s Marathon Bar to be the sponsor of’s “Fitness Forecast” through August.

The online section analyzes the temperature, humidity, sky conditions and wind of a user’s geographic location to see if it is optimal exercising weather. It is a part of the Web property’s new Fitness Planner, which is designed to answer weather-related workout questions.

With the new section (, is hoping to attract advertisers trying to reach workout or outdoor sports enthusiasts, such as Snickers. “These people are going to be extremely receptive to health and wellness-related advertising messages,” said Peter Green, vp of ad sales for
