Allied Domecq has se lected dRush to handle creative development for its Sauza tequila account, worth $15 million.
The agency, a New York-based joint venture between entertainment mogul Russell Simmons and the Interpublic Group of Cos., works for Allied Domecq’s Courvoisier Cognac.
Modernista!, Boston, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Miami, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, had been finalists in a review for the business. Bates, New York, had handled the assignment but did not defend.
Bates will likely retain below-the-line duties because the shop’s marketing-integration unit, Bates 141, has a strong relationship with Allied Domecq.
