Price/McNabb of Charlotte, N.C., topped six competitors to secure the advertising business of AFG Industries.
Betsy Pardue, director of corporate marketing for the Kingsport, Tenn., glass manufacturer, said seven contenders were culled from an initial group of 20 agencies in the three-month review process.
Beyond incumbent agency Tombras Advertising in Knoxville, Tenn., Pardue would not identify the other competitors, but placed them in Nashville, Tenn.; Atlanta; Charlotte; and Pittsburgh.
“We first focused on an agency with strong business-to-business knowledge, and residential construction in particular,” Pardue said.
She would not divulge billings, but a source said the budget was less than $1 million.
