Planet Studio in Step With Altama Footwear

ATLANTA Altama Footwear has tapped Planet Studio to create three print ads, the client confirmed.

The Atlanta manufacturer heard creative presentations from eight to 10 agencies before selecting the Sandy Springs, Ga., design firm for the creative assignment.

“Their creative matched both the subjective and objective requirements,” said client vice president of sales Kelly Schmidt. “The size of their company matches our own as well.”

Jamie O’Donnell, agency vice president, said the first ads for the company’s line of desert boots would appear in the May 1 issue of Military Times.

The advertiser manufactures and imports high-performance combat boots and public safety footwear.

Last year the company had sales of more than $22 million, primarily in contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense and foreign military services.

Billings are less than $500,000, sources said.
