Parliament Sent to Publicis Groupe Shop

CHICAGO Philip Morris USA has moved its Parliament brand to Leo Burnett, consolidating all of its cigarettes with the Publicis Groupe agency, a company representative confirmed. Capitalized billings on the account are estimated at $15 million.

The Parliament brand had previously been handled by WPP Group’s Y&R and Wunderman in New York. Burnett had previously handled all the other cigarette brands, including Marlboro, Virginia Slims and Basic.

Dana Bolden, a representative for the Richmond, Va., company, said the shift, which was effective Jan.
