ATLANTA Outback Steakhouse said it is talking to agencies about handling its national TV creative, including three-year incumbent davidandgoliath, an independent shop in Los Angeles.

The client reviews the assignment on a regular basis, said Fulton Smith-Sykes, vp of marketing and advertising for the Tampa, Fla.-based restaurant chain. “We do this every three or four years,” Smith-Sykes said. She declined to identify the other agencies in contention.

The company contacted about a half-dozen shops in May and selected three finalists, Smith-Sykes said on Thursday.
