Online Marketplace For Printing Industry Narrows Its Search

Httprint, an online business-to-business marketplace for the printing industry, has narrowed its search for an ad agency to handle its $20 million account.
The San Francisco company, which evolved out of print production management company Landmark Productions, this month will decide between incumbent McCann Relationship Marketing Worldwide, San Francisco, and the Brussels, Belgium, office of BBDO.
Marketing director Mark Malpiede said Httprint plans a major marketing push that will include Europe and needs a shop with “an integrated approach that covers all media, a strong direct background and media buying capabilities.”
The client, which is likely headed for an IPO, has begun buying media space for May.
